Ive been gradually building up my strength and fitness over the past 9 months - it has bee hard! And at times I really do have to force myself to go even though I am totally shattered. Main reasons for going is to obviously get fit and slim down a bit for Ibiza but I've recently noticed that since I've been going more frequently (5 days a week, some of these times I just swim) i've felt a lot better in myself and have been focusing on Ab work to get toned which has in turned actually really helped things to move along (if you catch my drift!).
I mentioned this to my consultant and he was super happy and told me to continue everything I am doing and even increase a little if I can, being fit and active increases your metabolism which allows you to fight off infection better, break down food quicker etc. etc.! For EDSers it also helps aching, tensed up muscles release a bit, it also builds up strength which in turn holds your joints better in place - I've been focusing a lot on my upper legs knees to hold my knees into place and also a lot of core work to help stabilize my whole body.
I think with these things it really has to be a lifestyle change, you cant go with the hope of everything being fixed in a few weeks, its taken me 9 hard months but now I can say i actually ENJOY it and it is a part of my life - to stay!
Ive always said as well that if i look good then I feel better, if you want to know where I got my outfit / hair from then click on the pics :)
